| Decent portrait. I think it could be improved by having a background that contrasts more with the hat... they blend in here. |

that straight flash didnt help it.. well I suppose its not bounced but even then its just five from me ;)

This is a fun looking photo, but the lighting is letting it down.
You have to try to get your light source off your camera and get the light more from the side. Also with such a dark hat you probably needed a lighter backgtround, or a second light from behind to add some seperation. |

| contrast seems to be too high, the frontal light produced too many catchlights on the bow that distract from the face. |

| I like the balance of black and white between the subject and the background. The bow adds a nice gray touch with texture. |

| He really blends in a bit to much with the background, A different color BAckground or adding an additional light source from behind would have been a better option to provide some seperation |

| light is a little harsh, and the crop could be a little tighter, in my opinion, too much black in the background, and the black hat, unbalance the image in my opinion |
