Stunning. The composition is really tight as well. I love the Sigma EX line for this very reason. Sharp, excellent contrast and color and with a D40! Who says you need over the top camera gear (read:$$$$) to create a world class photo. Love it.

I'm hoping to leave comments on as many photo's in this challenge as possible... out of (currently) 1116 images, I gave 97 of them an 8. Your image was one of those 97, placing you well within the top 10% for this challenge.
Interesting perspective, I love the symmetry that the reflection provides, effectively in both directions. I would have scored this higher if there was a bit of colour/detail on the trees rather than them being silhoutted, but nonetheless a great shot.
Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge. |

| I like this photo. You took a relatively bland setting and turned it into a very interesting composition without making all the colors neon pink and purple. I like the sweeping curve of the trees and the bright grass in the foreground. |
