Nothing like taking a postcard picture and having your way with it. |

That wide angle really plays nicely with the foreground sweep of water - you're becoming a bit of a master at this whole editing thing. Absolutely did not deserve a tighter crop - the water is the whole reason for that damn dam's being, and deserves equal billing. You did both proud. |

I'm not normally a fan of waterfalls but this one (yeah, OK, it's a damn dam) really caught my eye. Came back to see how you did the toning - how did you do the toning?? Is it split-toned or whatever that's called? Excellent use of the very fine 10-22, too. |

I like the trees in the background and the softness of the water. |

The post processing looks great with the water, but the top half of the photo doesn't work as well. |

This is a very nice shot, and I imagine it's going to do pretty well and quite possibly ribbon.
The whole thing has quite a glassy, frozen look about it, which is clever because there isn't actually any ice in the shot. I think you've timed this exposure well, it's not over the top smooth, but long enough to make it really interesting. |

Very nice but I may have cropped tighter on the dam. |

i like how the steps are covered by little waterfalls. the water shows shape and texture. the roughness of the water makes me think it has a strong current. |

Dramatic composition. Love the way the white froth and spray cascading over the rough stone of the dam wall creates a midpoint between the dark green turmoil of the water and the somberness of the forest on the far shore. 8 |
