 I just love dragonflies! I even have one tatooed on my leg! This shot was one of many taken by my pool in California, before I moved to Arizona. The blue background is the water in the pool! Besides some sharpening and contrast, this is pretty much straight out of the camera.

Bit of noise in the background. Also missing the tail end will not score as highly as if it were included. Still, it's a good shot... Macros of these guys are difficult. Good work.

Thank you for keeping the entire dragonfly in focus. I love the detail on its wings (both sides), the interesting blue on its tail. About the only nit on this is the hot spot on its eye.

Very clear and nicely focused, however, too much compression is killing the detail and the smooth background. At only 51k, you had a LOT more overhead. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (200k for this one)

crop is too tight especially at the rear of the dragonfly. nice capture and DOF to get the wings relatively in focus. 6
