thanks for all the comments! i was happy this pic came out even this good. the skies were really gray that day and i was in a hurry. also, they were doing beach replenishment right by the lighthouse, so i couldn't get over the dunes to take a pic and there were a bunch of ugly trucks all over the place

Nice and simple well lit shot. The tree doesn't help but what can you do! I don't know what is in the surrounding area but this might also have been nice if you had taken it in landscape format from further back with a lot of empty blue sky around it.

gosh I haven't seen that in over 30 years! As a kid my dad used to take me fishing near there and also the Barnegat Lighthouse. Flounder! Fun for me to see this place and you captured it from the perfet view. Nice one.

I think a more dynamic angle would have helped this shot, perhaps from right underneath the tower, to avoid superfluous details. Nice shot though!
