would like to know where this is I'm in Colorado and I know it's not that far. It looks really good in black and white. |

I love how the building blends into the landscape. |

Holy cripe, that's awesome! Your use of black and white is to remarkable effect here. Bumping this to a 10 and making a fave. Too incredible. |

Your photo itself looks like an old shot. Very good job on recreating an authentic feel to it. |

It would be great if you just focus on the building. The foreground is competing for attention. It's a very beautiful building. |

I'd like to see this in colour. I think it would give the building more prominence. |

I am a huge fan of the aspect ratio that you get when using long focal lengths on landscapes like this. And in this particular image, it is not just aesthetically pleasing, but also powerful. The nature's sheer force seems to overpower man's structure, yet the cathedral has a power and majesty of its own. The black and white treatment lacks the usual contrast, but somehow contributes to give a timeless look to the image.
Excellent shot. 10 from me and my personal blue ribbon in the challenge. |

Neat thing about this - even though the building appears to be rather significant in size, it is completely and utterly dwarfed by the range behind it. Sort of a commentary on man's significance in nature, in a way. |
