I don't know if the white spots on the river are too exaggerated or not, because I've never see that much snow, but I do love the far shore and the brooding sky. The Jefferson Memorial is perfect. |

This is a lovely moody shot, quite under rated IMHO. The snow in the foreground is a bit too bright, but I like the feel and the way the Jefferson Memorial pops.

I voted this unjustly low when voting - I gave all photos at least two viewings, but for some reason although I looked at this, I didn't really SEE it. I really like the patterns of the snow on the frozen river. The perfectly lit domed building peeking out provides the perfect foil to the wide vista. |

Good shot of these landmarks. I would prefer it with the bottom cropped out. |

Now this is different. I would crop the bottom. I like that spot of light effect on the dome. |

Lovely painting like quality to this unusual view of the Washington Monument and the Jefferson Memorial across the frozen Potomac river.
I like the way the Jefferson Memorial is bathed in light. It would have been great had that been the case with the Washington Monument as well. 7 |

for me, a closer crop on the bottom would have added more drama to the image, right now that is where my eye goes first. |

I like that I can see falling snow and that the Jefferson Memorial is lit by the sun while the rest of that area is darker. |

Too bad the Washington Monument is not as well lit as the dome (is that Montecello?) Certainly a view you don't see very often. |

Incredible storm view; unique perspective of such famous landmarks. They are not immediately apparent as the eye is drawn to the rust shrubbery in the foreground first. |
