Awesome. Beautiful reflections off the water, Nice symmetry of the balconies, framed by the round window with the plant (does it need some water?) centered in it.

I like the way you have darkened out the inside so the voter can focus on the window. The plant in the foreground against the buildings that are separated by a view of the water is great. Putting the plant in the window did wonder for this shot.

Very cool use of natural framing, it's like the plant is daydreaming of living on a porch outside.

In my very little opinion, I should not have included the potplant as nou it distracts the eye from the simmetrie of the staircases. In any event agood picture.

This is really good. I like everything about it and especially that you left it just off center. Much better than dead center.

Usually we want to avoid a subject in the middle but not in this case. Might have cropped it so that the background is balanced on each side too. A good eye on spotting this!

It stood there with it's branches plastered to the window, and it dreamed.

It dreamed of the blowing wind upon its leaves.

It dreamed of the smell of the sea salt in the air.

It dreamed of the sound of the waves and the call of the gulls and the laughter of children as they danced through the tide pools and discovered the life of the sea.

It stood there with it's branches plastered to the window, and it wished beyond wishes that it had been born a tree.

There is a real personification to that plant...it's as if it is quite sad and it longingly looks out the window wishing to see more of that big wide world in front of it.

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. What a great still life! The presentation is simple, clean and elegantly minimalistic. A pleasing study of shapes, lines, and colors. You have the circle within the rectangular composition - shape within a shape. Love this circular window that opens up to show us the ocean off in the distance and then the spindly plant that extends it's branches like arms reaching out for the water and the sun. The colors of the leaves or petals is a warm gold autumn type color. The reaching of the plant looks like it is seeking infusion of new life by grabbing at the water outside it's reach. I am thinking that this would look great on someone's wall in which the room is a minimalistic modern design! Especially if it is in a room with no windows - for this would act as one.

Ah, I quite like this. I like the basic line/circle comp, the light, and the hint that a view like this is worth a few obstructions - something along the lines of taking full advantage of the good things in life!

nice picture, but because the round window is a little to the right, it unbalances the shot a little

Beautiful shot! I really like how you have the plant in the window. I think that adds a lot to this pic. Your lighting is great and love how the outside is dark which really adds a punch to your composition.

this could be a really great shot, if the plant didn't interfere with the balcony rails and windows. Also had cropped the shot to square or at least centered thewindow
