Very nice image. It's good to see a few "great" images. This is a perfect reflection of your abilities as a photographer.

How cool, this does look like it could be decades ago.

I like the nostalgia here. And I don't see many anachronisms which is nice.
03/14/2009 05:59:44 AM
Depth of field gives it an 1890's feel. And then you wonder what the driver is saying to his passenger.
03/14/2009 03:22:44 AM
Except for a modern bike and boat, it sure has that look. Nice B&W.
03/14/2009 12:21:47 AM
The b&w tones are nice. Would have preferred a more selective focus on the horse and carriage., 6

Remarkable old-time feel to this shot.
03/13/2009 11:05:32 PM
how do you get such rich tones...love this
03/13/2009 10:50:13 PM
this picture definitely feels like the old times. What an amazing capture. For some reason, the "driver" turned around talking just makes it that much more interesting.
03/13/2009 09:35:26 PM
Nice street scene subject.
03/13/2009 06:53:58 PM
Beautiful shot. And my g-grfather made his living this way so it says something to me.
03/13/2009 04:44:48 PM
Amsterdam? The B&W treatment works well for the photo and is a good tie in to the title.
03/13/2009 03:26:30 PM
i don't have any sort of constructive criticism for this shot because it's so well done. i love the contrast

Great old worldly feel to this
03/13/2009 08:36:09 AM
Nice in b/w, maybe a sepia would look good too.

Looks like Amsterdam. Great shot, great processing!
03/13/2009 12:03:26 AM
Love that horse and its furry hooves. The white detail of the background facades is a little overpowering.

great dof, great composition, very nice shot
03/12/2009 12:25:13 PM
THe B/W really sets this image off for me. Well done.
03/12/2009 12:13:09 PM
Nice photo...I like the B&W.
03/12/2009 09:22:33 AM
Nice shot, although I think that a sepia tone would reinforce the "old" concept.

The horse and carriage really stand out from the background.

03/12/2009 04:36:36 AM
B&W was a good choice
03/12/2009 03:39:42 AM
At first glance it looks like one of those small toy scenes :-)

Nice DOF here, a little blown out at top of the buildings at the back but this isn't easy to get right. 9

The b & w tones in this are lovely - I can just see the silver jumping off the screen. It really does evoke feelings of an older time.
03/11/2009 10:10:20 PM
Beautiful. I love the black and white choice.

Black and white works good here, well done.
03/11/2009 06:18:40 PM
Nice shot.
03/11/2009 04:21:22 PM
Focus is on the horse where as I would prefer it to be on the passenger, but nice photo!
03/11/2009 01:37:00 PM
The black and white is very nice it really draws out our subject.
03/11/2009 09:16:54 AM
Interesting. Needs a little more focus on the men but the horse is beautiful!
03/11/2009 08:37:45 AM
very well seen and cropped, it's quite unusual there are no cars or ads or neon lights visible. A hint of sepia toning along with a decent frame (maybe abit of added noise) had perfected the nostalgic impression.

time capsule.
03/11/2009 02:36:47 AM
Looks like one of the Beatles is sitting in the carriage..
03/11/2009 01:12:38 AM
Very nicely done, great sense of place and NO sense of time. Not easily accomplished!
