Very nice.
03/17/2009 12:58:04 PM
A very interesting shot, what's the fence on the right for? Kind of reminds me of Jurassic Park.
03/17/2009 11:59:46 AM
Horizon looks slightly OUT of kilter but maybe that's coz I HAVE BEEN DRINKING.
03/17/2009 11:02:09 AM
Nice colours, and I think the tilted horizon works well with this shot.
03/17/2009 04:43:24 AM
looks a little flat to me
03/16/2009 10:09:45 PM
Interesting sunset. I think the decision to tilt the horizon paid off.
03/16/2009 01:09:23 PM
Great use of the sunlight, to create a mood.
03/16/2009 10:45:12 AM
I like the slanted exposure, but the sunset is pretty blown out for my taste. The water is positioned well if there was any detail in the sun, but otherwise there isn't that much interest in the foreground or sky.
03/16/2009 04:08:13 AM
nice shot
03/16/2009 03:38:15 AM
I like this out-of-the-box image on many levels. Thanks for showing us something different.
03/15/2009 04:08:47 PM
Lovely color, horizon seems tilted a tad to the right.
03/15/2009 03:13:57 PM
Nice sharp grass and a fitting title.
03/15/2009 03:07:18 PM
the overexposed sun area detracts imo
03/15/2009 03:03:24 PM
The horizon tilt adds to the interest of the photo, which is good because the subject isn't doing much for me.
03/15/2009 11:56:22 AM
I'm not overly fond of the tilt but I like the yellow colours in the sky.
03/15/2009 05:44:25 AM
this is interesting... nice quality , despite the overexposure at the sun (obviously)
03/14/2009 09:44:45 PM
trying to decide if i like the tilted horizon, pretty sky
03/14/2009 08:11:26 PM
try HDR for these kind of extreme dynamic range shots.
03/14/2009 07:51:02 PM
Interesting use of a tilted horizon, blown out sun, and silhouettes.
03/14/2009 07:02:22 PM
dont have word for this - good luck in this challenge
03/14/2009 06:51:28 PM
03/14/2009 05:40:37 PM
Good idea. Needs a little less brightness at the sun and would score better for me.
03/14/2009 05:37:43 PM
Love the color in the sky
03/14/2009 09:54:44 AM
colors seem a bit dark, and I don't really like the flair of the sun...nor the fence...sorry
03/13/2009 04:06:35 PM
Interesting POV, great colors.
03/13/2009 02:23:38 PM
I like the angle on this.
03/13/2009 02:21:40 PM
Huge amount of light!
03/13/2009 01:58:35 PM
if you're going to tilt then tilt the hell out of it.. and you did. love the "y" things on the right..
03/13/2009 09:20:51 AM
lovely colours in the sky
03/13/2009 12:18:01 AM
to many jet trails
03/12/2009 09:38:06 PM
Too blown out.
03/12/2009 06:15:12 PM
Very strong contrasts here. The tilt is good, but I think a lot of detail in the grass was sacrificed with the bright sun.
03/12/2009 11:02:23 AM
Is that a barbed wire fence on the right?
03/12/2009 10:45:52 AM
I like the feel of this it's like I'm laying in the grass watching it happen.
03/12/2009 10:42:56 AM
interesting image, but i would prefer the sun to be off center and more to the right....
03/12/2009 10:05:42 AM
To much light for blow outs but I like the subject.
03/12/2009 05:41:22 AM
I just don't get it
03/11/2009 11:22:58 PM
Really tough scene to expose for. I would try to go for a lot smaller aperture to try to give some shape to the sun. Maybe also underexpose a bit and then dodge the foreground to bring back the detail.
The tilted horizon works to a certain extent. I'd be tempted to increase the tilt more to make it appear more deliberate as this almost looks accidental.
03/11/2009 09:30:52 PM
I like the simplicity of this, and I like the tilted horizon, but it really doesn't "grab" me all that much.
03/11/2009 08:58:44 PM
Sun in the back ground is a little hot. Needs to be leveled.
03/11/2009 06:21:18 PM
i like the tilt i think it adds to the comp
03/11/2009 05:34:52 PM
The colors and cloud patterns are beautiful. The highlights seem a little blown, but they are still nice and soft.
03/11/2009 02:52:54 PM
Honestly, I get nothing from this image except for pondering the significance of the the razor wire. I feel there might be a story there that the shot doesn't explain.
03/11/2009 12:40:52 PM
Nice colors in the sky, but the sun is very centered and bright.
03/11/2009 10:14:22 AM
Congratulations on being part of this 1000th challenge on DPC. Keep up the good work!!
03/11/2009 08:30:10 AM
Unusual composition with an interesting color contrast.
03/11/2009 02:50:22 AM
The interesting thing about this one is I think I've been here before. Chances are slim that I have, but it has that feeling to it. The fences I've seen many places, the trees - trying to place those but am not really sure. The sun and sky reminds me of late evening in late fall in Texas. Too green to be Texas that time of year, though!
