Awesome photo. :) You've captured the hand texture well with the available light. |

Thanks for all your comments...
I am not Katherine or the Puzzle Man
On dust - this picture was taken in our living room in Kabul, Afghanistan, one of the dustiest cities on earth. With that in mind I'm pleased to say the dust in this picture is the dust on our toshak, not on the lens or sensor. That's why I left most of it. I did take out some of the more distracting bits from the dark bottom left corner. |

Are you the puzzle man? If so, you really like getting your hands dirty :-) Very intriguing shot. Makes me want to stop and look at what is drawn on it. The composition is nice with the negative space, as is the hand position, but I would have liked a little more light on the palm to achieve the level of contrast on the base on the thumb. |

I like the juxtaposition between her lovely hennaed hand and the swirling flowery background. Simple. This would make a lovely card. |

I really like how the background has just a hint of the same motif as the artwork on the hand. |

the space at left doesn't add to the image IMO. a squre crop would have brought more impact. Overall a tad too dark. |
