This is more like a scary movie poster, I can almost hear the spooky music and see someone getting ready to go outside to get eaten. Cool shot.
03/17/2009 10:41:50 PM
It made me shiver, so it got an extra point! Super nice macro.
03/17/2009 08:44:22 PM
Nice macro shot!
03/17/2009 04:18:47 PM
I really like the colors in this, it's strange how we can see your lens in the shot, I can see it say zoom I think? How did that happen?
03/17/2009 11:48:01 AM
Wow! That looks like a monster mosquito.
03/17/2009 11:07:40 AM
03/16/2009 10:44:56 PM
Oh you've got to be kidding me, look at the size of that thing! LOL, surely it's not real? Fantastic shot, great colour and clarity considering it's through glass. You want to know what makes it funny cool? The reflection of your lens in the window letting me know you're safely tucked away inside. Chicken... ;P - bumping

Hello, Friend. That's a mighty fine deck you got there.
03/16/2009 05:38:08 PM
Wow! That looks like the main character in some B horror movie, absolutely wonderful detail! Funny how you can see the reflection of the zoom lens text :-)
03/16/2009 05:26:18 PM
Holy Crap!!
Either a small New Jersey mosquito or that's one heck of a lens... 7
03/16/2009 11:13:04 AM
Nice dof, shame you can see the writing on your lens reflected in the glass (edit cos I cant type!)
03/16/2009 04:27:15 AM
Awesome capture and presentation. Gorgeous.
03/15/2009 11:33:00 PM
Extraordinary detail.
03/15/2009 09:25:15 PM
and it's on the deck
03/15/2009 06:28:14 PM
hahaha, just like it is from a cartoon... It is a fun picture but the reflection of the lens brings it a little bit down, good catch.
03/15/2009 03:04:36 PM
focus issues and the lens reflection in the window
03/15/2009 12:16:41 PM
Haha, it just came up to the window? That's great, excellent capture, the reflection of the lens shows that the window is there, so I like it.
03/15/2009 12:00:51 PM
This made me laugh!!! It's like an alien has come knocking on your door. That thing looks huge!!!!!!!!
03/15/2009 10:09:34 AM
really great pose, nice dof and i like how the colors in the background match the little fellow
03/15/2009 09:12:32 AM
Not the best insect photo but still not an easy shot to take. I am distracting but something in the background that appears to say "zoom lens"
03/15/2009 05:22:38 AM
great shot 7 from me ;)
03/15/2009 02:35:58 AM
Beautiful colored big mosquito.
03/15/2009 02:15:32 AM
ZOOM LENS!!!!!!!!! I see about 4 reflections
03/15/2009 12:14:08 AM
this guy is huge !!! need some fill flash to light up for more details.
03/14/2009 11:51:30 PM
Die you blood sucking pig! Ah yes, my favorite insect (or at least I'm their favorite!)
03/14/2009 10:49:31 PM
slightly missed the focus
03/14/2009 09:42:06 PM
Thats one big friend... gave you a 9 to keep him away.
03/14/2009 08:09:54 PM
Critter is nice. Light?
03/14/2009 05:21:27 PM
Background says "Zoom Lens." Good job anyway.
03/14/2009 02:58:02 PM
Really cool bug - great capture, wish the focus could have been better.
03/14/2009 09:22:41 AM
Outstanding perspective! Really a fun shot and love the warm colors.
03/14/2009 08:43:17 AM
That is an amazing pic of a mosquito. I think? Alternate title: Knock Knock, anybody home?

LOVE the colors. Really, really glad I didn't enter my fly pic for this challenge now :)

instant fave and I say Hel10 to you too. :)

Funny thing, I saw a fly with almost the exact same face yesterday, so I'm not all that confident that this actually is a mosquito. Either way....
03/13/2009 11:56:43 PM
Amazing juxtaposition of tiny bug with background
03/13/2009 11:17:00 PM
You've this look like he's a foot tall!
03/13/2009 10:08:34 PM
I like the reflection of your lens in the glass.
03/13/2009 09:34:26 PM
03/13/2009 06:08:05 PM
He looks like he is just lounging. The way it is composed makes him look huge.
03/13/2009 06:05:31 PM
great eyes
03/13/2009 04:39:45 PM
Strewth. You have a licence for that? Ruth is stranger than Richard.
03/13/2009 02:17:17 PM
This one really makes me laugh - well spotted, love it :)
03/13/2009 05:03:57 AM
What's that text on the left top corner? You took this thru a glass or something?
03/13/2009 01:29:10 AM
Looks like he is trying to get out. Good use of yellow tones.
03/12/2009 10:13:27 PM
Is it knocking on your window???? That's one heck of a bug macro!
03/12/2009 08:48:05 PM
really cool and closer than i ever want to see one of these. It could use a little shadow/highlight adjustment to brighten the bug, and a slight color adjustment to cool the yellow tones. "Zoom Lens" is visible in the background - a reflection - but no matter; it can be cloned out. 6
03/12/2009 07:59:18 PM
Oh... My... GOD...! Can't wait to hear how you managed this. I'm assuming this is a Robber Fly, btw? You're in my high-seeded group prior to the bumping round, incidentally.
03/12/2009 06:16:01 PM
Great closeup.
03/12/2009 05:05:29 PM
I think he was the one biting me last night
03/12/2009 04:59:28 PM
Good shot through the window.
03/12/2009 02:14:49 PM
Great catch! I'm glad they are not this big.
03/12/2009 09:37:17 AM
focus is a little soft on the bug, there is a lens markings reflection in the window, but great capture nonetheless, and the angle makes the bug look huge. i would be staying indoors as well :)
03/12/2009 06:31:55 AM
U should clone out the reflection from the zoom lense
03/12/2009 01:59:03 AM
hi to you too.. I have some mortien for your tonight..
03/11/2009 08:32:04 PM
you can see the reflection of your lens in the glass...I'm thinking you want to keep this bugger out...hmmm
03/11/2009 07:07:18 PM
Pity about the sharpness, otherwise a great capture.
03/11/2009 01:32:30 PM
Nice capture, such a shame about the reflection of the lens in the window which will certainly cost you votes. Good luck for the rest of the challenge.
03/11/2009 12:57:37 PM
I think I recognize him. He came around my place the other day selling magazine subscriptions.

Great focus for a bug outside the windowsill, and a unique pose.
03/11/2009 12:53:05 PM
Looks like someone I know! Great capture.
03/11/2009 11:12:04 AM
The diversity of life on this planet we call home really amazes me. Great capture. He really does look like he's giving a salutation with that leg up there like that. I'm sure some won't, but I actually like that I can see the reflection of the lens on the left side there. The only thing I don't like is that the yellow is pretty overpowering.
03/11/2009 11:03:56 AM
03/11/2009 10:48:11 AM
Awesome close up. It's interesting that I can see your lens in the reflection.
03/11/2009 10:10:53 AM
Don't let her in!!! Perspective puts me in mind of a horror film with giant mutant bugs ==:-O
03/11/2009 09:22:46 AM
Not my friend! hahah. I dont like the background or the reflections but the bug is nice!
03/11/2009 05:29:13 AM
Ahhh! Don't let him in!
03/11/2009 04:36:51 AM
Eeekkk.... Your Zoom Lens really captured a good one. I like the colors.
03/11/2009 12:34:37 AM
Wow- this is really disconcerting - it's like he's trying to break in through the window! I hope he's not as big as he looks!
