The colours are beautiful, it's a sharp, clear photo but it has a softness that is beautiful.

I'm hoping to leave comments on as many photo's in this challenge as possible... out of (currently) 1116 images, I gave 97 of them an 8. Your image was one of those 97, placing you well within the top 10% for this challenge.
There is something about the uncluttered simplicity of this shot which appeals to me, and the green is a perfect foil for the pink and yellow. Probably a little too simplistic for a lot of members on this site, but I likeit, and I guess you do too, which is all that matters! :-)
Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge. |

| Voted earlier coming back to comment now. The big *WOW* factor here is the color! Love the bold and vibrant pinks that just pop off the green background. Love the hues too - the springtime green and the hot pink. I see alot of nice detail too with some of the textures of the petals visible. This is a very pleasing floral shot. |

Great pic of the flower and good choice for colors. It's pretty obvious that you put significant thought and effort into the lighting on this one and it has been done very effectively.
A bit of blur on the BG area would have been good I think. This would have been easy to do by using one of the color channels as a layer mask.
I don't know if it's intentional, but there a bit of 'blotchiness' in the overall tone of greens in the BG which help give it a more natural look as if it were a strongly out of focus background area.
Also, the tone of the greens in the BG change from warm to cool, which is a bit odd. Might have been worth just a tiny bit more tweaking to equalize that. Maybe not.
I don't think the border helps anything here. It would have been preferable to have a larger view of the flower. It certainly seems that you have enough detail to manage that. |

| A few blown highlights (from what I see...then again this monitor is a bit on the bright side). Nicely saturated colors and good choice for background. It would be nice if the stem and leaf had a bit more light on them or if possible if they could be removed altogether. |
