Thanks for all of the nice comments on the sunset. There were definitely a few things that I could have changed to make the picture better and I will apply those techniques to future entries. |

Yes, those are good days indeed! The picture was taken at Fort Morgan, located in Alabama. |

Very pale, and the rod seems a bit lonely. |

I went fishing this weekend myself... Ice fishing. I was a lot colder than your photo. I didnt catch anything.
I like the colour in your sunset... nice pastels. |

Caught a pretty pastel sunset there my friend. |

I'm not sure if the sky was actually that pink?? It just doesnt feel right at that shade. Maybe if you had deepened the colors some? |

Great capture with really nice colors. I would correct the tilted horizon. |

Beautiful soft tones and colors with a decent composition. |

Lovely colours, curious as to why you did not straighten the horizon. It's an easy fix. |

I am not a fan of sunrise/sunset photos. They have to be really crisp for me. This is a little soft on focus and color for me. I like the composition. |

bit flat but still nice ;)

This is very nice. Great simplicity and colour... But the horizon is crooked.
All photo editing programs have a rotation tool to flatten crooked horizons. |

Very nice shot. I like the soft colors. I'm curious what it would look like with the pole a tad darker. |

Nice view of a fishing rod with this pastel colors. |

great colours in the sky and reflection on the beach, I like the addition of the fishing rod |

paradise for an angler. Lovely soft colors. |
|
|
03/13/2009 09:45:07 PM |
Without the pole it would be very uninteresting. Just a minor tilt to the horizon. |
|
|
03/13/2009 09:03:29 PM |
Nice colors. Maybe it's an optical illusion but it feels slightly tilted to the left. (I'm a nut about accidental tilt.) But the rod and reel seem to compensate so it's not bothering me here. |

I would have darkened the entire image a little more. 6 |

Great colors, very nice picture! |

i feel like the image could be more saturated. maybe a faster shutter speed could have helped to really give it some firm darks and solid colors |

I love the simplicity of this shot. Such a sense of peace and isolation. The cloud formation "spreads" the joy, and the reflection on the sand (with the straight strip of foam) adds dimension. The fishing pole really adds a theme and a purpose to make it more than just a pretty sunset. |

Very nice colors -- a peaceful and serene shot. |

nice soft colors and leaving the fishing pole there adds some nice interest to this |

The coloring is very nice and soft. Good shot. |

good composition; very nice tonal range in the sky... love what you did here with the reflection of the sky on the sand. Keep up the good work! |
|
|
03/11/2009 11:00:17 PM |
Nice pinks... With something this minimal, I think you should straighten out that horizon line. |
|
|
03/11/2009 10:23:58 PM |
Wonderful pastels. Nice use of fishing rod to add interest to an otherwise "normal" photo. |

nice colors and composition, but a little over exposed, loosing detail from the sky |

Man! So close...I really like this. The colors are fantastic and the subject and comp are a good fit. See a tilted horizon is frustrating when it's so easy to fix. |
|
|
03/11/2009 09:29:21 AM |
Simple and different. Its pretty but lacking some detail I think. |
|
|
03/11/2009 08:20:54 AM |
bit pale looking - slightly tilted - nice sense of solitude |
|
|
03/11/2009 04:45:01 AM |
too washed out more color boost would have made this a lot better |
