Ok i do not want to read all your comments, but i am curious and i just noticed my self, did anyone comment on the slight tilt to the horizon? In any case, I love this shot, and i am really shocked it didn't do better. |

Mysterious, murky, skeletal landscape. On first pass the shadows seemed too blocked up to me, but on re-examination they're probably about right for what I take it you're after here. I like the very precise handling of the bright sky and the fading BG mountains. I can see why you picked this one as representative (assuming it IS representative, since I have no clue who you are).

Nice sepia tones. Nice texture in the wood. I think the length of the left log hurts the shot by extending too much into the negative space of the river. Mountains in the background are very nice. |

I like the subtle use of leading lines on this. Also the sepia tones are nice. It seems just a touch dark though. I imagine this would look wonderful blown up into a huge print or canvas |

I like the subtlety of the tones here, as well as the strong perspective. Is that river frozen over? I see a pattern that looks like ice. (No vote, comment only, because I ran across this on your Flickr page last week) |

Why is it that my landscapes featuring drift wood turn out like crap and yours look like this? It just doesn't seem fair.
I really like the layering of this. The driftwood in the foreground is nice, but what makes this great is that you allowed the highlight on the water, in the middle of the frame, draw the eyes back and then the highlights in the mountains carry on from there. Wonderful shot. |
