 Taken mid afternoon on cloudy day. I was out to test the Tamron 200-500mm in a closer environment. I enhanced the color post capture and cloned out some garbage that was in the shot. In layers I sharpened and slightly reduced hue and saturation through the use of a mild b&w layer. The fall colors were good but subdued due to the low light. I captured this as theybegan to move further into the water.

Wood ducks are quite stunning, I think. Too bad this fellow was hiding behind the branches a bit. I would crop tighter on the left to removed the other Wood duck and keep more on the right if I could so no one's head was cut off.

What a nice assortment of ducks! I just love wood ducks, they are so colourful and pretty. Nice fall colours as an added bonus.

Colours appeared a bit washed out and the composition ( ie half ducks on RHS ) doesn't sit comfortably with me. - 5
