| Lovely idea with those shadows from the stairs cast on the red brick wall but the stairs themselves are so dark that one cannot see any detail. The composition is lovely though and I like the flowerpot with the green shoots growing along the bottom of the stairs and the stone framed window at the top. |

| Was this a handheld shot? I ask because it's not quite as sharp as it could be, most evident around the window on the wall. Aperture may not have been deep enough either with the upward tilt of the focal plane. Just an observation. It is and interesting still life type photo and your timing on the natural light is right on the mark! Good luck in the challenge. |

| nice shot but the darkness where the railing and stairs are versus the reflection just hit me the wrong way. I can't think of a solution and would probably have chosen a different photo but this is an interested subject nonetheless. Certainly better then my shots. |

| Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. You know what I really find appealing about this photo. The way you composed it, the shapes, and the colors. Love that the stairwell cuts at the diagonal. The leading lines travel from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. And the shapes! The details of the design on the railing is shadowed and repeated on the brick wall. While the leading lines of the stairway dominate the composition as the main subject you also have an added visual interest of that top arched window that adds another visual element to the top right half of the diagonal. The balance to that window element in the bottom left half is the flower pot. I mentioned the colors are appealing too for the Black tones of the stairs really contrast nicely off of the red brick wall. |

| the shadows confuse me a bit on this one, how can there be such a strong shadow on the wall but no light on the steps themselves. It looks like you burnt the steps but Im not sure why |

I wish this had been taken from directly straight on... those shadows are wonderful with that curve, but the angle is too distracting to me.
