 This was taken at a Chevys on my friend's birthday. I feel this an unusual viewpoint because we are at the table and the rest of the restuarant is behind us.

I don't know if I really get the selective desaturation here - I guess I am struggling to find the unusual viewpoint in this shot.

I find your use of selective desaturation to be kind of confusing in this shot. Your title says look at the restaurant. The guy in me says look at the cute girl. The hat SCREAMS look at me and doesn't seem to make much sense in this example...
