I like the idea, but I don't like the houses in the background, or the foreground being this much out of focus |

Too soft for my liking and the Sat. dish detracts from what you may be trying to say... |

I love this! It's an interesting and compelling image that stands out from the "hallmark" crowd by a mile. I'll be back to add this to my favourites after the challenge. I doubt this will do well which is a real shame. 10 |

My favorite of the challenge. Not a shot that shows technical mastery, but one that implies an emotional depth that is not often on display here. An evocative image with bold composition and a lovely use of the symbols of suburbia with a feeling of despair and loss. I don't know if any of this is what you intended, but it works for me. My only beef is the slight rotation of the horizontal lines are a bit distracting from the static frame you have going. |

OK, this one creeps me out...he's watching a house with a basketball goal, so it probably has kids living there...is he a dirty old man or what? Gives me the willies. Good picture, though. If that's the intent then you hit the nail on the head. |

Ah - a double habit - watching while smoking a pipe. A very nice silhouette - but the focus is a tiny bit troublesome. Compositionally you have a lot of "wasted" space at the top of the frame. It's still way better than a lot of submission without a doubt. |

Good idea, but I would rather have seen the watcher in focus. Is he naked? Also, he doesn't seem to be watching much, if you had stood on something so that you could see "people level" in the window, the view would be more effective.
The hat and pipe give this a nice surreal Church of the Subgenius touch, but it's not enough to make the image work. |

I really like the concept of this photo but there is something lacking. It is not clear what he is watching. The focus leads me to believe that he is looking at something next door. If you only had captured a basketball near the backboard I would had given it a 10. |

Would have given it a 10 if the guy was in focus and the background not, but I realise thats a personal preference. |

This would have been a 10 if what the man was looking at was more interesting/attractive to me. Very very nice indeed, composition, lighting, DOF. |
