Simple and to the point. It would be interesting to see this same shot with the cigarette lit and smoke rising.

I llike the foreshortening, and the detail of the tabacco. Very nicely done.

I would have like it better if the whole cigarette was in focus

I don't usually rate "smoking" pics very high. But this is an exception. Great macro shot without showing something burning.

Hey this is a great picture and fun to see how you play with the focus.

There seems to be a lot of nothing in this image. I would like this better either with something else in the image, or completely filled with a super macro shot of the end of the cigarette.

I'm not crazy about having only the first millimeter of the subject in focus. The border is also distracting.

I like this, but I think the whole cigarette should be in focus.. it's hard to tell what it is

This is a good photograph. Neat Image would have reduced the background noise and made it a great photograph. 5

Too specific to be viewed as abstract: but too lacking in context to convey the idea of habit.

This is an amazing photo. DOF is used brilliantly. Simplicity is beautiful, and this is definitely both simple and beautiful. I'm giving this a 9, only because I really dislike borders, especially here since it takes away from the overall minimalism of this photo.

More like an addiction....I guess it is an addictive habit. Anyway, I like the the way you took this shot.

I wish the depth of field was just slightly more, but otherwise pretty sweet.
