i liked it. i thought it looked like the sun was using a spotlight on the silos and then was kind of leaving everything else in the dark. nice variation in tone. |

a weird almost Hitchcockian feel from this. I gave it a 7. |

This is one of those photographs that grows, expands, as you look at it. For such a simple composition, it is very sophisticated. The twin silos standing stark and splendid like a minor installation on another planet. The stop sign suggests a rail crossing. And the road makes a kind of sweeping salute to this lonely outpost before resuming its relentless crawl to the horizon. And on the low hill, just in the corner, is a hint of a settlement. Probably the people who feed these hungry silos. Very fine picture. 8. |
