How is this abstract? I like the background effect of the flowers and grass - it looks like a very pretty oil painting to me. But the bird is the subject of the picture and he's clear as a bell.

I've been using the definition: "Of, relating to, or being a style of art in which natural objects are not represented realistically." With this in mind, it really doesn't fit abstract, IMO. It's a beautiful shot, though.

It's a beautiful photo, but for me, the blurred background with the crystal clear stationary view of the birds' wings, captures stillness rather than motion.

Nice capture of the bird. I only wish the green weed wasn't right over its face. For this challenge I'm afraid I personally don't think it quite counts as 'abstract'.

This is truly gorgeous photo, but I simply can't see it as abstract at all. Therefore I have the contradiction of giving you a low score - 4 ( would have been lower if I didn't like it) - and putting the picture in my favourites.
