The Affray

Taken with a camera on tripod, of a spider and an insect. The insect arrived while setting up for the shoot, and was interesting to see the antics as the brawl unfolded,it was difficult to achieve a good focus with the movement going on, unfortunately the insect lost and was wrapped up in web for a later meal.
With this challenge being of Abstract Motion, I believe that this shot fits the details well.

Minor tone and crop in Lightroom.

I would have liked this better as an abstract (I think) if I didn't have a clue what it is - the motion is good, colors are great!

For me,this is more motion blur than abstract

Definitely looks as though the spider pounced on it's prey and caused the web to start to bounce.

The title actually helps it a lot, but, I'm sorry, the image wasn't very compelling without it.

It's meeting the rules, but I would have cropped it differently, for instance just around the actual catch. It would have filled the whole image and would have made a much more interesting photo.

Great effect and nice color. I may have cropped more of the left side to fill the frame with the cross from corner to corner.
