 The California Yellow Poppy is in an explosion of bright blooms never seen before by locals in the Merced River Canyon near the entrance to Yosemite National Park. While the sides of the valley were carpeted in yellow poppys, this particular image struck me with the tenacity of the poppys to grow in the fertile soil amoung the rocks creating "rivers" of yellow.

Seems a little soft or dim or something. Not quite sure what is is or is not. I think you captured a good scene, with potential that still needs to be brought out. Sorry to sound so harsh on this, because I want to like this one.
