How in the world do I see race relations in this shot???

Two groups and the most noteable difference is their color. Beyond that, they look the same and even have the same "job."

Independently, they hold the power to hurt and encapture -- they each have a destructive force that can be used against others (or even themselves).

Together though, they become stronger and their purpose becomes more clear. They no longer fight eachother, but they join together to reach a common goal.

Interesting take on it. I would not have seen it the way you did if not for the title. Sometimes titles are important.
