 This is a picture of a Common Buzzard. Worms form a large part of their diet. This picture was taken at the Barn Owl Centre near Gloucester, UK. This is an owl conservation charity which does have other birds of prey on display, such as this buzzard, and they are currently trying to raise £1.5 million to build new aviaries and a conservation centre. I spent a very enjoyable day there photographing some of my favourite subjects.

Nicely composed and great detail, but the white bloom on the beak is distracting and effects the overall impact of the image. Also the reflection in the right eye detracts from the overall effect.

Lighting a little harsh, wish you had toned down the highlights a tad more in post processing. 7
