putting the reflector in-frame is a little over-the-top (and not too subtle, either). The fringing effect on the leaves and petals on the left side would be great applied to the whole plant with an out-of-frame reflector. Could have been one of the best in the challenge. |

Okay..for me blue and yellow always works! Here I suggest that you crop off that bottom 1/4 inch of table, it's over exposed and not adding to the shot, it draws the eye away. Also the shot is maybe a bit low on the pot.....I realize that is the main subject for this shot, but we'd of seen the vivid colors. Finally the white in the upper right is a not good....it's washing out the amazing violets that you've grown!! Wow you have a green thumb. I have one but it's so small, not lush like yours.. :) |

nice detail on the pot and flowers. I like the "halo" effect. the bright blown out light seems too harsh for me though. |

plant is nice with good backlight, but white area almost hurts to look at. multiple light sources not obvious.

background light overexposed. Good effort. |

The overexposure on the upper right is too much of a contrast with the left side background - it detracts from the subject. |

While the image isn't terribly interesting as a subject it was hopefully good learning for you in setting up lighting. I'd crop it at the top left corner where the white outlines the petals and leaves - this bit is really nice - forget the pot and the centred image. |
