 I can't believe I had to submit this. All for the FSM! I didn't get any time this month to take any pics, and I ran out of time. I hope it doesn't bring my average down too much!

since someone asked! these are tiny drops of water on the shiny side of a blank DVD. shot almost straight down with my macro lens. Lit with an off-camera flash on the same plane as the disk. A big yellow paper is held behind as a reflector, and is what gave it the green tint (the DVD shows up as dark blue by itself).

It's really unfortunate that the angle forced DOF problems - this would have been the best abstract in all of 475 images. You might have avoided this by taking the image at a 90 degree angle and using an off camera light to create the cats eye effect on the drops.
