I stopped to take some pictures of cows in a field and was blown away when I saw this gate. It' the five (count 'em) locks that got to me. Sign of the times.

LOL, apparently they really mean NO trespassing. Great eye to spot such a fantastic find. There is some guy on the bike riding route that easily has 100 "no trespassing" signs on his property. I always think "welcome to NJ" when I see it. Some people just are cranky.

That's a pretty strong endorsement for Master Locks (4 out of 5)! And I don't think I've ever seen an aperture of f1 before. That is some fast glass! Nice use of shallow dof, and a well composed shot.

The locks & latch are on the inside of the gate. Someone is trying to get a point across, it seems! Good in BW. Hope you got some cow shots, too.

Terrific balance with the locks and the sign. Lots of angles. ME LIKES.

That's an interesting shot to me because I would like to know how the mechanical part of the gate latch works. By opening any one of the locks, the gate can be opened. Here it is common to have several locks on a chain so that several people, owner, lessors, power co ect, have access to the pasture.
That looks like a rather ingenious gate latch.
I hope that you were able to get the cow pix that you wanted.
