liked the way the gold was reflected in her sweatshirt, sewing machine and the light. Table light, fluro light in the shop and flash from the camera

Looks too much like a simple snapshot.

This is a nice snap shot of someone busy at work. You've gotten the obvious light sources in also. Sadly, the background and foreground are extremely cluttered. Sometimes this can be to good effect in a shot like this as it shows the person in their environment. In this case it's just not working to well. Another choice might have been to get in a close as possible to her hands as they work at their task. This can tell a universal story about a craftsperson and elevate the shot from a nice snap shot to beautiful photograph. You might even be able to crop this photo from the original. The light falling on the edge of her fingers and the bit of lace looks quite nice.

Great shot, might've been even better if taken from the front so you could see the sewer's face as well. Love the idea!

I think the background seems very "busy", perhaps a different angle stressing the main subject would work better.

This image is quite busy, I think to make it cleaner you could have dimmed down the overheard lights / bounce flash to isolate the model & sewing machine... What's she making?

angle helps makes the shot more interesting, but would be better to show the face more and the object she is sewing, maybe a lower angle more in front of her
