I was up at the Draper temple the other day taking pictures all around the temple. Got some really good pictures with the sun off to the side of the temple then took some with it directly behind the temple. This is the result of the sun directly behind.

People didn't like this for the very reason I did.... I love how the sun is right behind the picture. Its a temple I feel like the sun is showing holiness around the temple. Although I didn't see the two specks in the top right hand corner its really snow not dust it was snowing while I was taking this picture.

Greetings from the critique club!

With this image placing the sun behind the subject could work if some dodging was done on the foreground to brighten it up. The spot in the top right corner could be removed even if it was snow. Both of these steps are legal under advanced but not under basic. (In basic you could clone out the spot if it was dust however).

It appears there was an attempt to make a symmetrical image but its just off enough to bother the viewer.

Dust on right corner distracts. Dark building.

The glow you have from the setting / rising sun is very nice, but you have left the rest of the shot looking a bit dark and lifeless. You should also have got rid of the 2 sensor dust spots!

Should have cropped off the bottom a little more.

This is not very interesting. And some editing would have been better in helping the shot.

Certainly unrecogniseable without the title and not welcoming at all.

The odd lighting and minor lens burp in the right hand upper corner do not make this a great image. The concept is good, but much more eposure was needed to make the building stand out.

The sunrise actually hurts this image. More detail on the building would have significantly helped this image.

IMO it's a little dark, the two spots in the upper right hand side of the photo should have been cloned out. The building should have been in the center of the photo.

Way to dark for me and no text. A big dust spot on the top right and just poorly done for advanced editing.

It's a bit dark, but that's to be expected from the way you took the photo. There are 2 big dust spots on your lens, you can edit those out for challenges. Better yet, clean your lens and they'll be gone for good. I think text would be nice considering this is a postcard challenge.
