Interesting shot. Very simplistic and yet it works for what it's worth.

Wow factor five, the slight abstract form around the sole of the shoe works very well. The slight grain to the background works well against the precision detail of the shoe and sock. A very good effort.

Nice use of negative space. Not sure about the angle of the leg though. Also the shadows are distracting.
However it does meet the challenge
