He's made of wood, right? I have one just like him banging holes in my house. How can I make him go away? Every time he knocks the parrot answers "hello".
But anyways. if this is a wooden woodpecker than you should have beeen able to improve the focus and the lighting to get the colors to stand out better, the picture looks way washed out and drab. Make his red top stand out.

Cute fresh idea and good photograph but the bird looks fake. Tell me if I'm wrong. Tighter crop than I would like to have used. 5 for submitting photo; -2 for fake bird; +3 for fresh idea; -1 for crop; +2 for clarity: Gives you a very respectible 7.

Better as a statue than a photo. It's taken pretty well, just not terribly interesting. That was a tough one in this challenge though for lots of folks. - Inspzil

Is the bird real? It looks almost porcelain-like. It's a good macro shot (slightly overexposed) but it doesn't really relate to the theme of the challenge - apart from the title, I guess.

Good shot and idea, I thought it was real for a while then looked closer. Good job on the lighting and DOF. DPz

Hmm... doesn't look like that particular birdy is going to be knocking on anything for quite some time. (Unless it's fitted with a motor.) Good interpretation of the challenge though. seasick - 6.
