 This is hard to pull off. In thirty seconds of painting with a flashlight three flowers, two leaves (one cropped out), a stem, and trying to fade the edges out toward the black background, soooo many variables are created. Because they all rarely come together just like I envisioned this image, I had to take over 200 shots.

I've been entering other orchid flowers painted with light over the past year but nobody seems to realize that this is how I have been capturing them and nobody realizes or appreciates all the work that I've been putting into this series. This is why I have decided to spell out what's going on in the title.

A very effective use of spot lighting to create a provocative and appealing image. A terrific demonstration on the creative use of lighting to highlight and enhance a subject without being totally obvious or over powering the subject matter. One of the best images in the challenge so far and should be placed high enough for a ribbon. Well done.
