Critique club comment by rodfulk;
Your Dof works but seems to have a little motion blur as well.
Which is okay if your going foe a wave effect. Hince the title. But the blur should been horizonal insteed of vetical. IMO.
The OOF pencil in front is a little distracting as well.
I like the idea, one could the pencil ppoints looks like waves in the sea. |

| the point of attention seems a bit too low in the frame. could use some more blurry pencils to the front to counteract that. background is beautifully done, perfect dof for it |

| ok...this is picky...it seems that your shot is not "level"...it makes me tilt my head, this may have been what you were trying to do...but I think your shot would have come off better if it were level showing the "rows" of pencils better... |

| Interesting shot. Wish there was just a tad more DOF to bring out a bit more detail on a few of the closer pencils to the one in focus. |

| The image meets the subject matter dead on. A sound demonstration of the creative process in meeting the challenge in a very unusual way. A couple of minor detail problem such lighting artifact. The DOF could have been used more effectively, but has been controlled well - a touch more DOF to sharpen the right side would have been a plus. A good solid entry into the challenge. |
