Rare colors and the fact that everything is dead center work perfectly together in this

An off-center sun would be better.

this doesnt look realistic at all

A very pleasing image, gorgeous colors - it will make a nice print. I'm not sure if everything should be dead center - think it would be stronger with about half of the sky and about half of the distance to the sun on the left cropped off. The resulting image would place the sun on the golen point top left. Even as is, it's a very strong entry - thanks for sharing.

Nice shot! I like the soft color scheme. Only one light source though.

A sunset doesn't meet the challenge. Colours are washed out. Could have been improved with a nicer skyline.

Almost looks like the sun is setting *in* the water - bizarre. With everything centered, and the nearly solid colors, this almost looks like some country's flag.

How is this obvious use of multiple light sources and how is that use a key factor in your composition?

ya go and break the rules and get a stuning image like this

Good work on a difficult capture, and an extraordinarily still moment. Good colours. A bit of a push to get into the challenge criteria, for which you lose a mark or two from me - I'm not saying it's outside it, but you're pushing the limits too hard for my taste. 6

I don't see multiple sources of light on this.

can't see the effect of multiple light sources...
05/26/2004 09:29:33 AM
There is really only one light source here.

I like how the sun looks like it's in front of the horizon. A little too centered for my taste though.

I see one light source, where are the others? Other than that, great shot.
