I think the image is better than the votes you got. The composition is excellent and the coloring is unique and grabs you. Nice.

The image is very scifi in concept - almost as if the sun had finally gone nova and this was the Earth's last seconds - very definetly not quite right.
A very unique way to meet the challenge subject - well done.
