another, admittedly odd, double exposure experiment, with a zoneplate sieve

to answer Steve: it's just initially a shot of a chair (rounded back with vertical rungs) with the old photo of a bearded man on top of it - for no particular reason than that I had the two objects close at hand while I was experimenting. It's very faint and subtle - but what you might take for striping in the fabric of the old man's shirt is the back of that chair. What I hadn't planned on, but turned out to be a happy accident, is that the rounded top of the chair exactly fits here with the rounded arc that extends from one shoulder to the other.

I don't think I would have ever thought this was a double exposure, interesting results your are getting with that technique!

Happy coincidence. If you hadn't said it was a double exposure, I'd never have guessed.

He looks like the original eminence grise.

Is this one ancestor superimposed over another? If so, it is so well done I really can't tell. Was the underlaying photo originally beardless? What did you use for the overlay? How do you expect people to steal your ideas without giving more details :)
Edit:
Thanks for the clarification, Karen. This is great, I'm sure somebody will copy your idea for submission into a future challenge.
