Too bad this didn't do better, I gave it an 8. It was one of my favorites of this challenge. I think the white appliances look good for this shot. They are so pure white they lend weight to the subject in a way that is hard to explain. I think it is that she seems cold and distant, so far away from the viewer, and the pristine white cabinets are a fitting part of her environment.

I do admit, I hadn't noticed her face had been burned out. That is kind of odd. When I first looked at this I thought she had dark hair and had her head turned away looking out the window. When I looked closer, after reading a previous comment, I noticed the burned out face. That kind of marrs the effect a bit. It sort of reduces it to creepy, stalker level. Oh well, it's powerful at any rate.

interesting pic but I'm not sure about the meaning or intention. Why have you burned the face of the subject? What is the white smoke/dirty window/her reflection to her right? mystery is good, though. thought-provoking.

I would like to see this without the appliances and cupboards for more romanticism. The view with table and windows would be great without them.

Beautiful, moody lighting. Near perfect composition. My only complaint is the chair on the far right of the frame.

This one is one of my favorites. So simple; great lighting; perfect composition. It says a lot to me.
