This was taken using a tripod around sunset. the light was travelling between really warm and cool as the clouds passed in front of the setting sun. The gray rain clouds in the background enhace the little bit of warm light in the image.

Sometimes images appear in which the author attempts to being a lot of drama, action and impact to an image rather than let it develop naturally in an attempt to compensate for percieved faults. In this case, the image is taller than necessary to have a lot of true visual impact. Curiously, if the water is cropped out of the image, it instantly becomes a much more effective presentation in particular with the flat, dull sky which comes across as menacing. A little more thought and this would have been a very effective image.

Beautiful. Last time i was here we were prevented from walking the trail because the military was conducting live fire exercises.
