| The sense of "moment" is present in this image and the obvious character being captured carries some visual impact. Technically, it's a very well composed image which is a plus. From an artistic standpoint, it lacks impact. A worthy entry into the challenge just lacking that something special to make it stand out. |

| Lovely shot, I like the angle. It would have been nice if there was a sharper focus on the eyes and not so much the hair. Also it's a bit noisy - I don't personally mind this at all I think it adds character, but noise it not DPC friendly (fascists!). I'd recommend a program like neat image or noise ninja to run over shots like this before entering for challenges, it'll bring your score up by at least half a point! |

| Relying on the title to explain whats going on doesn't make a candid pix. Actually showing the cardgame and a reactive expression would have done it here. Just my take. |
