A Penrose Triangle. Its actual not a triangle. It basically an "L" with a vertical piece sticking up from it. From the correct angle however it looks like an "Impossible Triangle". I guess this is not quite right on a couple of levels. First of all, there's the illusion itself. Secondly um...I made some mistakes with the illusion. If I were to redo it I would use one color of dice. I'd also clean up my glue a lot better. In any event this is a lot better than my previous attempt.

Prediction: BRUTAL. Its not great. Some might not think it fits the challenge. My goal is shoot more and since I haven't been shooting a lot just for the fun of it I think I will suffer to get me back in the swing of things

Midway through voting:
Interesting - I am getting a lot of comments about the glue (I expected that) but my score isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I am guessing this is one of those cases where the voters like the idea more than the actual photo.

A Friday Night observation:

It has come to my attention that I missed gluing on one more die. GRRRR! Fortunately no one has commented to that effect yet but...it still bugs me. With all the other flaws this one bugs me the most.

Post challenge:
22nd? Cool. If I had put more time into this and got it right maybe I would have got a 6+. Thanks to all who took time to comment.

Great Escher-esque tribute. But I din't think the desat works on this. Both the lighting and colors are too bland.

this is cool, even though we know that its not actually in a triangle it sure looks like it is.

Interesting shot thar meets the challenge, but the cotton and marks on the dice are distracting.
I think the colours should be more vibrant and on a black reflective background.

I reshot my Esher-esque penrose Triangle for this challenge but opted for another idea - I was using wood (again) but didn't have time to shave the vertical piece for shape.

A sort of "necker cube" imagery that is unique, colorful and very interesting. The image is somewhat flawed by the excess glue which detracts from the overall effect of the out of normal illusion. Good idea.

Could you have cleaned off the bits of glue? That might have made it better. Oh, and nice vibrant colours, these look dull and muted.

Great contemporary take on classic visual pictures. Shadows a bit distracting but still a 10.

Thats is a really cool idea! I think it would have been worth the time to clean up some of the glue spots/strands. I'm not really feeling the desaturated look I would like to see what it looked like originally or with some added saturation. Sorry if I'm being overly critical, I really like the shot and I think with a little work it could have been even better! Keep it up!

I think you should have used a little less hot glue
