as the wind
blew through the grasses
singing its song
to the lads and lasses
it blew my hair
it blew my dress
it blew the leaves
into a swirled mess
its song was sadly
sweet to my ear
I could almost make out
words to hear
the lyrics of life
the song of the children
left me breathless
in a way, bewildering |

| Love these tones. Love that vignetting. Love that mystery and ambiguity. Love the absence of anything that sucks. Love the whole damn thing. |
