I hope this gets the brown ribbon, just so it receives the attention it deserves. Best DPC title in ages! |

I guess u are a starter in photography considering the quality of the photo, I just want to encourage you too keep what you are doing, the idea of the photo can save the quality, and your idea is great, just try next time to remove the date in your menu of the digital camera, you can be disqualified for that...I guess u have been given a low score till now from the photographers with fency cameras that doesn't apriciate an idea, so that's why I'm giving u a 10...keep shooting :) |

Not even to a snapshot quality level, it goes beyond understanding why this was entered into the challenge. |

Its very seldom that I would award a 1 so as I am about to I thought it polite to explain. Broadly speaking, in this challenge I would award a 4 simply for entering something with a person or animal in it, an extra 1 or 2 for it being obvioulsy candid (by my interpretation) 1 or 2 for technical merit (Composition, exposure etc) and then 1 or 2 for the wow factor or creativity. Looking at your picture and starting at the 4 I immediately have to remove 1 for the fact that Kitty is starring straight at you (not candid IMO), 1 for the strange colour cast (tungsten) and at least 1 for the date stamp being left on the picture. As that only leaves 1 I can't then deduct another 1 for the excessive noise or the soft focus.
I hope that explains why I left you a 1 all of which is irrelevant if you were trying for the brown but if not I hope it is of some help for furture challenges. |

There's a lot of noise in this photo which distracts from a pretty cool shot |
