 Practicing more product lighting.

To answer how this was shot: The corn kernels and miniature lab glass is all sitting on a piece of white art glass. There is a "daylight" florescent lamp underneath that, then I used a hand held lamp for the top fill light.

I like this shot because I can't tell how you did this.. Looks like the kernels in the back are floating and I can't for the life of me figure out what the background is. None the less good picture overall.

Good thing this isn't a discussion group... On topic. Found the ridges in the sky to be distracting. Did you remove something? Liked the chemistry beakers. Found the light under the left beaker to be distracting.

Interesting idea. Very nicely shot but it's not coming together for me. It's like everything has the same importance, with nothing predominant as the actual subject. The sky is very interesting and bold, the corn is very sharp and textured and colorful, the beakers have great clarity and shine. There's too much to look at and nothing to decisively focus on.
