| A very interesting image that suffers from a just shy of sharp focus. Technically, it needs crisp and detailed image to pull of a positive artistic impression. While an intriguing situation, the lack of detail causes the eye to wander around looking for something to interest the viewer. Oddly, the lighting situation may be at fault for this, but at the same time, could have been made better by a slight alteration of aperature or shutter speed. A good entry into the challenge, it falls short of having any significant impact. |

| Nicely composed, but a bit busy to me. I would have placed more emphasis on the monkey by darkening the edges and lightening the middle of the shot. |
