Very rootbound tree in front of my daughter's old house in Baltimore. The squareness of the root ball and its texture got my attention, and I liked how it appears to be fighting against the city's constraints.
There will probably be lots of pretty trees in this challenge. Mine will not be one of them ;-)
PP - converted from RAW, rotated slightly, cropped, white balance, increased contrast, cloned out teeny bit of stoops showing, dodged/burned roots in places to emphasize texture, 2nd layer (merged in multiply mode), resized, added border, sharpened, increased contrast again. |
