Beautiful mallard. Might have cropped down a little to make the background less distracting.

If you can spell it, you'd better be able to pronounce it. Oh,..."duk".

The background is almost overwhelming. Nice shot though

Woulda, coulda, shoulda - the rich detail and excellant capture of the mallard is lost in the white and busy background. Not quite to the same level of expertise as some of the other avian images in this challenge. The distance involved leads to lack of perspective which does not help the image at all. A good effort that might have been improved with a little more patience waiting for a different angle and lighting.

I think the busy background does not do justice to the good capture of the ducks flight

Ooh, tough exposure. The Mallard and his motion are well-captured and I like the light on him. He is disappearing into the background, though, which is good for him in the real world of predators but not so great photographically. Maybe shooting with less DOF would have blurred the background sufficiently for him to stand out better?
