 Ok...so the windstorm was a day or two before I got here I think. It was certainly a recent uprooting. I wanted to date the photo using the title so people wouldn't think this was a "Trees II" outtake. :-)

We had some stormy afternoon skies and I went to this local park to see what I might capture. This tree was quite a ways off from the main areas. Glad I took an upclose look!

The border is unnecessary -- the wrong color anyway. A straight black or white would have worked better, I think.

A good solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it is an intersting image but of less than universal appeal. A good entry into the challenge.

It's almost as if I can actually see the clouds moving...I personally love this photo.
