Challenge: Unusual Viewpoint (Advanced Editing II)
Camera: Olympus C-750UZ
Location: Princes Street, Edinburgh
Date: May 23, 2004
Aperture: 3.7
ISO: 50
Shutter: 1/400
Galleries: Urban, Candid
Date Uploaded: May 23, 2004

Shot taken from the top of the Scott Monument in Princes Street, Edinburgh. It was tricky to choose a shot from a number of good candidates but I liked this the best in the end.

Photo was cropped and saturation increased slightly to bring out colours in figure. Some road markings were cloned out.

I love the composition in this image. The wide open sidewalk space really makes this a very strong shot. This is a good example of how you can use strong light to your advantage when shooting. Depending on the original, I might have conisdered playing with the crop. Possibly rotating it to a 45 degree angle. Nice job, one of my top images. 10
